Spain Getaways: RV/Motorhome Routes in Costa Brava

Costa Brava is the coastal area that goes all the way from Barcelona, Spain to the French border. It’s full of lovely little towns and villages, rocky coastlines, steep peaks and extraordinary beaches and bays on the crystalline water of the Mediterranean. The perfect place to get in your RV and drive along the beautiful coastline.

Cap Roig (Cape Roig)

The fishing village of Callela de Palafrugell is a popular spot for both Spanish and international tourists. There are a series of beaches and bays across a beautiful coastal path that follows the shoreline, with pine trees hanging from the rocky cliffs that descend into the vivid blue water of the Mediterranean. One focal point of Calella de Palafrugell is the Botanical Gardens of Cap Roig. These huge gardens comprise of more than 1,000 botanical species from different parts of the world. The gardens expand from the castle high on a cliff, down to the beach below.

Cap de Creus (Cape de Creus)

This protected area makes up the only National Park in Catalonia, where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean and with unique geographical features. Due to the effects of erosion, its rugged mountains and bared rocks create a magical landscape that you won’t find anywhere else. These extraordinary forms were a source of inspiration for the art of Salvador Dalí.

In Port Lligat, in the town of Cadaques, you can find the house in which Salvador Dali lived between 1930-1982 and has been turned into a museum.
