Spain Destinations: The Pyrenees Mountain Range


The Pyrenees extend for more than 400 kilometres between Navarre, Aragon and Catalonia, acting as a natural border between Spain and the rest of Europe. There’s always something to do in the Pyrenees regardless of what time of the year you come. If you visit in winter you’ll be able to enjoy winter sports like skiing, sledging and snow shoe hiking. Spring and summer are perfect for hikers, who can travel the many routes through the Pyrenees, including route GR 11. You will also find picturesque little towns of stone buildings with slate tile roofs that invite you to come in and wander through their tiny narrow streets. So, if you are planning a trip to Spain, you should include a visit to this impressive mountains.
